Procurement Manager - EMEA

My client is one of the leading FMCG organisations in the world. For their Procurement Division in their EMEA Headquarters in Switzerland, they are now looking to recruit a Procurement Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement.

In the first instance your goal will be to segment suppliers from a strategic perspective of the business and establish relationships that move beyond the transactional level, also from an innovation perspective that the supplier can bring and focus on driving performance to the next level.

Your position has a crucial impact on the supply assurance, cost, quality, service and innovation, because you will provide both leadership and technical direction within the assigned areas.

You will be in charge of formulating, documenting and executing regional sourcing strategies, cost forecasts, and negotiation plans.

You will act as the primary liaison between the internal customers and external suppliers in order to help create and translate the organizational strategy as it relates to the sourcing objectives, and also as the manufacturing facility point-of-contact, and managing supplier performance within the plant.

Key criteria:

  • Higher education in Purchasing, Business and/or a relative field
  • International industry experience in the relevant area
  • Proven controlling and budgeting skills
  • High level of negotiating and influencing skills
  • Result orientation in implementation of new processes and organizational changes
  • Analytical, eager to take on new challenges, self motivated, innovative and consultative
  • Fluent English and ideally German
